In wet pasture, one of group of three barrows (LI049-029002/003-). Possible ditch-barrow (LI049-029003-) immediately to E. Not marked on OSi 6-inch maps. Potential barrow identified as a circular cropmark on Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000; 2579, Site 245) taken 03/11/1984. Faint trace of circular cropmark (diam. c. 4.5m) visible on OSi orthophotograph taken between 2005-12 and clearly visible on Google Earth orthoimage dated 20/03/2018. Ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its association with a group of barrows and a potential ditch-barrow suggests a ceremonial or funerary landscape of regional significance.
