Kilcorran Lough is a subrectangular lake (dims c. 370-c. 500m NE-SW; c. 370-c. 430m NW-SE) surrounded by drumlins with a crannog c. 30m from the central part of the NW shore. This is a circular overgrown cairn (diam. 22-23m; H 2m) that continues underwater (L 5m plus; D 3m plus). At the shoreline on the E side are at least 16 radial beams (dims 0.1m x 0.1m; L 1m; up to dims 0.3m x 0.3m; L 5m) with pegs at intervals (0.5m). On the same side there are at least 26 vertical piles. There were some quern stones and hone stones on the surface.
