What is recorded here
Situated on a SE-facing slope overlooking a substantial river. Raised subcircular area (43.7m E-W; 39.5m N-S) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth c. 4m; H 0.3m; ext. H 1.25m at N, 1.8m at S). The bank barely rises above the interior for most of the circuit but has a pronounced external slope. The interior is level but with a very slight rise in the centre. There is a gap (Wth c. 2.5-3m) in the bank at N where interior level is lowest relative to exterior ground level and it may be the site of the original entrance. A farm track skirts the W side of the rath.
