What is recorded here
Located on an E-facing slope overlooking a river basin. The early church (WA024-006002-) is within a rectangular scrub-covered enclosure (dims. 32m E-W; 28m N-S) defined by earth and stone banks (Wth c. 3m; int. H 0.5-1m; ext. H c. 1m) which were erected in the late 19th century (Barry 1896, 228). There are traces of an external fosse SW-W and at the E end of the N side. There is no evidence of burial or of an original enclosure. Two ogham stones (WA024-006003-, WA024-006004-) are just N of the enclosure.
