A local fairy fort (ringfort/rath) associated with Effin church ruins and a nearby "Lady's Well," suggesting a possible early-medieval date and links to both Christian and pre-Christian traditions. Local folklore may connect the site to supernatural or sacred elements, common in such landscape features.
