What is recorded here

Indicated is a small oval crannog in Lough Gowna, County Cavan, Ireland, sitting about forty metres from the shoreline. People may have built or used this narrow island as a dry refuge above the water, perhaps for storage, ritual or seasonal life. The lake would have closed around it at night, making the Crannog feel less like a field and more like a hidden chamber.
