Situated on top of a natural rise in sharply undulating pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map but not shown on later editions. This enclosure has been levelled but the barely discernible outline of a roughly circular area (diam. c. 15m), defined at E by a slightly raised contour, is visible.
