What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular earthen ringfort in County Cork, Ireland, where a broken northern bank still marks the entrance across a gently sloping pasture. Its overgrown ridge and faint ditch trace a small defended or ceremonial place, while the wide view to the north suggests people chose it for watchfulness, pride or ritual visibility. The field fences now complete part of the circle, blending human memory into an older shape.

In pasture on N-facing slope; extensive view to N. Circular raised area (32m N-S; 32.6m E-W) enclosed by overgrown bank (H 0.8m) W->ESE, replaced ESE->W by field fences; slight traces fosse in parts. Break in bank to N, used as entrance. Interior slopes gently to N. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
