Hut site in Knockeens

In rough pasture, on the S-facing slope of Mangerton Mountain. The remains of a circular hut site (7.2m N-S; 6.8m E-W) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 1.15m; H 0.4m) which is partly grassed over. There is an entrance (Wth 0.8m) at SE. The S portion of the interior is raised and the N side is cut (D 0.55m) into the upslope to compensate for the hillslope. There is a relict field boundary (KE084-057002-) c. 25m to the E and a possible fulacht fia (KE084-057003-) is in the immediate vicinity to the NE.
