Field boundary in Fustane Lower

In rough hill pasture, on the S-facing slope of Mangerton Mountain. An E-W section of relict field wall (T 0.6m; H 0.5-0.8m) protrudes above the surface of the bog. The wall originates near the E bank of a stream and extends to the E for a distance of c. 100m and then turns to the SE before disappearing into deeper bog. Some of the upright stones are set at right angles to the line of the wall. Many of the stones have either fallen or are embedded in the peat.
