Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c. 1870, on a rectangular plan with later single-storey lean-to extension with fibre-cement tiled roof to rear. Pitched slate roof with corbelled brick eaves, grey clayware ridge tiles and roughcast rendered chimneystacks to gables with yellow clay pots, metal rainwater goods. Painted roughcast rendered walls to front elevation and gables with painted finish to rubble stone to rear. Square-headed window openings with smooth rendered reveals and painted sills, rough stone sills and lintels to rear elevation, with bipartite one-over-one horned timber sashes to either side of front door and two-over-two horned timber sashes elsewhere; replacement casement windows to rear. Square-headed door opening to front with smooth rendered reveals containing a replacement timber door with concrete step fronting. Set back from the road on a lay-by within own grounds accessed by a wrought-iron pedestrian gate mounted on smooth rendered piers flanked by hedging.

Located in the midst of farmland this house is a fine example of domestic architecture in rural Ireland. Modest in scale and form, the house exhibits the simple and functional form of traditional building but with the unusual detail of its bipartite windows. The house retains many of its original features including its timber sash windows, slate roof and wrought-iron gates.
