A large house with a chimney stack is depicted in the N part of the townland on the Down Survey (1655-6) map of Rathcline barony (NLI, MS 719). Its precise location has not been identified. A cluster of buildings of 18th/19th-century date is located in this area on the 1837 and 1913 editions of the OS 6-inch maps.
