This site was excavated as part of monitoring associated with the Rush and Lusk Waste Water Treatment Scheme (Licence no. 10E0121). Located on a gradual south-facing slope over Rogerstown estuary, the monument was characterised by two slot trenches that formed the E end of the structure. Sherds of Neolithic carinated bowl pottery were recovered from the fill. A small hazel charcoal from this deposit returned a date of 3640-3520 cal. BC. A small hearth (0.6m diam.) was located c. 37m to the W of the structure and a pit and postholes to the SW (McQuade 2011, 28). Compiled by: Christine Baker Date of upload: 5 February 2015
