Detached L-plan three-bay two-storey house, built c. 1820, with single-bay two-storey catslide-roofed return with attached glazed conservatory and single-bay double-height lean-to addition to rear. Hipped slate roof with rendered chimneystacks and cast-iron rainwater goods. Exposed rubble stone walls with render to gable of return. Square-headed window openings with two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows and cut-stone and render sills, those to front elevation having render surrounds. Square-headed door opening to front elevation with render surround, timber panelled door, overlight and one-over-one pane timber sliding sash sidelights. Windows retain internal timber shutters. Three-bay two-storey outbuilding to west with pitched slate roof, rubble sandstone walls, square-headed window openings with timber battened fixtures and camber-headed door openings with timber timber battened doors.
The symmetrical façade of this house is typical of dwellings of its era and is enhanced by the central double chimneystacks and the retention of materials and features such as the timber sash windows and slate roof. The outbuilding adds context to the site.
