Detached five-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c. 1820, having flat-roofed two-bay single-storey extension to west of front (north) elevation. Hipped corrugated metal roof with rendered chimneystack. Rendered walls. Square-headed openings with two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows and concrete sills. Square-headed opening with timber battened door. Outbuilding to rear with pitched roof, slated to west pitch, corrugated metal to east pitch, and rubble stone walls, with square-headed door opening. Concrete walls to site boundary.

Utilising traditional local materials and construction methods, vernacular structures are found all over Ireland but are now no longer built. The long low profile of this structure, its sheltered site, and its nearby outbuildings are all typical of the site layout of many modest vernacular buildings in Ireland. The small irregularly spaced windows and the use of readily available corrugated-iron as a replacement for thatch are also typical of the vernacular tradition.
