Kiltiernan’s walled graveyard sits on the summit of a south-facing slope, exposing the dead to open sky and changing light. A curve in the northeast boundary wall hints that an earlier enclosure may have marked the same ground before the present church rose. The shape suggests continuity rather than a single foundation moment, as if people kept returning to that exact place for burial and memory.

The church (DU026-020001-) stands within a walled graveyard, located on the summit of a S facing slope. There is a curve in the NE section of the boundary wall, which may indicate the previous existence of an early ecclesiastical enclosure (Wakeman 1891, 697-702; 1900, 188-190; Turner 1983, 46).
