Detached L-plan two-storey house, built c.1880, presenting two-bay principal elevations, with single-storey porch to front re-entrant corner, and with gabled entrance porch to rear. Slate roofs, pitched to main block and rear porch and hipped to front porch, with brick corbelled eaves course, and having stone and brick chimneystack. Dressed stone walls having cut-stone quoins. Square-headed window openings having chamfered stone surrounds, some paired with central stone mullion, with cut-stone sills and one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows. Square-headed door opening having stone surround, three stone steps to threshold and recent timber panelled door. Square-headed door opening to porch to rear having chamfered stone surround and timber panelled door. Set back from road within garden. Wrought-iron pedestrian gate flanked by rubble stone piers to site entrance to north, wrought-iron double-leaf gate flanked by cut-stone piers forming vehicular entrance to north-west. Wrought-iron pedestrian gate flanked by rubble stone boundary walls to site entrance to west of garden. Detached L-plan multiple-bay single-storey outbuilding to west of site, having pitched slate roof, rubble stone walls and square-headed openings with timber battened fittings. Double-leaf wrought-iron gate, flanked by rubble stone piers and flanking walls, forming site entrance to west of outbuilding.

This elegantly proportioned and restrained stone house displays skilled stone masonry in its general stonework as well as its detailing. The footprint of the house and outbuilding have changed little over time and the whole retains its character. It is an eye-catching feature in its rural setting.
