What is recorded here

Gallan is a vanished standing stone in West Cork pasture, overlooking the Comnagoragh River valley. It may have marked a boundary, a burial, a meeting place or a warning about the water below. The grass has taken back its shape, but the name still points to the moment when someone set stone against the sky and waited to be remembered.
