What is recorded here

Killinane holds a fulacht fia, a cooking pit where heat and water turned raw food into sustenance. The grass still covers a spread of burnt material beside a well, while a standing stone watches from forty metres north-west. People may have gathered there to boil meat, prepare feasts or mark the land with repeated fire. The pit no longer smokes, but it still records the hunger, labour and care that shaped it.
