Situated in a natural basin on the SW side of a NW-SE mountain stream in the upper Tay river valley. A grass-covered kidney-shaped mound (dims. 12m NE-SW; 8m NW-SE; max. H 0.7m) is open to the NW (diam. c. 3m). Fulacht fia (WA014-035001-) is c. 20m to the NE, on the other side of the stream. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
