Fulacht fia in Cutteen North

Situated in rough pasture on a gentle SE-facing slope in the upper Tay river valley, with a NW-SE stream immediately adjacent to the N. This is a horseshoe-shaped, heather and grass-covered mound (dims. 18m NW-SE; 14m NE-SW; H 0.2-1.5m) of burnt stones with a large trough area (dims. 4m x 3m) at NE. It is associated with field system (WA014-040----). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
