What is recorded here

Detached two-bay single-storey former blacksmith's forge, c.1820, now disused. Rubble stone walls with squared quoins. Barred timber sash window. Wide timber tongue and groove door. Privy to front. Disused rubble and brick outbuildings to north-west with corrugated-iron roof. Wrought-iron picket gates.
This simple vernacular forge retains many original materials. It is a valuable document of the industrial heritage and social history of the Hazelhatch area, sited close to the stables and on the canal bank.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
