Fairy fort in Turksland, County Galway: a subcircular ringfort on a small hillock in level grassland, about twenty-seven and a half metres one way and twenty-three the other, with two banks and a ditch between them. Much of the ditch and outer bank still stands from west-southwest to north-northwest, but the north and east have been quarried away. It is the kind of place where ordinary land stops being ordinary: a room built by hands, changed by weather, touched by taking, and still holding its shape.

On a hillock in otherwise level grassland. Well-preserved subcircular rath (NE-SW 27.5m NW-SE 23m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The fosse and outer bank survive from WSW to NNW.
