What is recorded here

At the W end of a glacial ridge in an area of pastureland. A hachured feature marked on the 1947-8 revision of the OS 6-inch map proved on inspection in 1986 to be a disused quarry. As it is of post-AD 1700 date it does not come within the remit of the Archaeological Survey of Ireland.
