Fairy fort in Eighter, County Cavan: marked ‘Fort’ on OS 1836 ed. on NE slope of a drumlin ridge; later maps dropped it. Local story, recorded by Davies in 1948, calls it a rath that contained graves. It is not visible at ground level now, but the land may still hold the shape of lives lived there.
