What is recorded here

Situated at the foot of a hillock, in pasture, with good views from SE-S-SSW. Monument described in 1970-2 as a circular-shaped area (dims. 30m NE-SW; 28m NW-SE) enclosed by a bank and external fosse. The bank (base Wth 4.5m; Wth at top 1m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 1.8m) is visible all around except at the SE due to quarrying activity. There is a slight fosse visible from WNW-N. The interior has a gentle SW-facing slope and the SE quadrant has been quarried away. Monument is barely visible as a cropmark on Digital Globe aerial photography.
