Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Edmondstown (farbill By.) is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Edmondstown (farbill By.), County Westmeath, Ireland. The 1970-2 description identifies an oval-shaped area measuring 33 metres west-northwest to east-southeast and 28.4 metres north-northeast to south-southwest, enclosed by a bank and an external fosse. The bank has been quarried away from north-northwest to northeast with gaps at southeast and southwest, while the fosse is visible at west only. The original entrance is not recognisable but may have been at northeast, and the interior has a gentle north-facing slope that has been quarried within the north quadrant.
Situated on a slight rise, in gently undulating pasture, with excellent views from NW-NE. Depicted on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map as an oval-shaped earthwork which is open to N. Monument described in 1970-2 as an oval-shaped area (dims. 33m WNW-ESE; 28.4m NNE-SSW) enclosed by a bank and an external fosse. The bank has been quarried away from NNW-NE and there are gaps at SE and SW. The fosse is visible at W only. The original entrance is not recognisable but may have been at NE. The interior has a gentle N-facing slope and has been quarried within the N quadrant. There are quarry holes and modern banks on the exterior of the monument from SE-WSW. Monument is visible today as a roughly oval-shaped earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
