Fairy fort in Derrygereen: a 30m earthen ring, 2.2m high, with a 2m gap to the southeast, set in pasture above a west-facing slope. People called it a fairy fort because the shape seemed complete without human explanation, but the bank and gap match an ordinary ringfort: a place to stand, enter and be seen. The fairies may have arrived later, filling the silence with life.

In pasture, on level ground, above W-facing slope. Circular, slightly raised area (diam. c. 30m) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2.2m). Gap in bank to SSE (Wth 2m).
