Fairy fort in Cullomane East: an oval earthen ring, 26.8m by 37.8m, with a 2.5m bank and a blocked eastern gap, sitting on a south-facing slope. Cultivation ridges still cross its interior, suggesting people worked the land inside long after the fort stopped being a fortress. The fairies may have taken it back, but the soil remembers hands more often than magic.

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Oval area (26.8m N-S; 37.8m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2.5m) W->SE, stone-faced in parts; scarp (H 2.5m) SE->W, with slight internal lip; silted-up external fosse. Break in bank to E (Wth 5.2m), blocked by stones. Cultivation ridges cross interior E-W. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
