Death and memory belong to this place. People built a round fort on a hill, then stopped using it as a fortress. They kept returning beside it to bury their dead, turning a military shape into a landmark of continuity. The fairy name may be later invention, but the function is plain: a made circle where life was measured, marked and remembered.

In pasture atop natural rise, just N of burial ground (CO118-072002-). Artificially raised (H 1.25m) circular area (24m N-S; 25m E-W) of earthen construction. Used as burial ground (CO118-072001-).
