What is recorded here
On flat ground on top of level ridge in gently undulating pasture. Monument not marked on OS 6-inch maps but depicted as enclosure on early 19th-century estate map 'A Survey of the estate of Jn Bagwell Esq...in Iffa & Offa by J.L. [John Longfield] 1815' (N.L.I. 21.F.46). Monument has been levelled but is discernible as a roughly circular area (diam. 18.6m N-S) defined by very gradual scarp (H 1.2m over 7m). W side is not definable. External U-shaped fosse (Wth 5.2m; D 0.66m) visible S and E of enclosure. Roadway runs N-S immediately W of the enclosure, possibly interfering with the W edge.
