What is recorded here
Marked on the 1841-42 OS map as a circular enclosure, this site is cut on the N side by a fieldbank running E-W. It is not as clearly marked on the 1939 map, and only the E and W sectors of the enclosing bank are depicted. This site was levelled a few years ago, and no surface trace remains.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 1046. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
