Fairy fort in Leagh, County Kerry: a bivallate earthen ringfort, internal diameter 21m north-south and 22m east-west, set in boggy land. The circular raised area stands about 1m high, enclosed for most of its length by a 7m to 11m wide fosse; the outer bank runs from west through north to east, about 7m wide and rising nearly 2m above the surrounding ground. Its name suggests people once believed the fairies had built it, while its shape suggests humans shaped the bog into a defensible place long before that story was told.

Internal diameter 21m N-S, 22m E-W Situated in boggy land, this bivallate rath consists of a circular raised area 1m high, which is enclosed for the most part by a 7m-11m wide fosse. The outer bank encloses the inner area from the W through N to E; it cannot be distinguished elsewhere.
