Enclosure in Ballyhasty

Situated on a break in a S-facing slope in pastureland. Depicted on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map as an irregular circular enclosure, bisected by a field boundary, with the SE quadrant destroyed. The site has been levelled but the N half (dims. c. 40m WNW-ESE; 18.5m NNE-SSW) is still visible as a curvilinear cropmark (Wth 1.6-1.8m) and slight platform. Described in OPW files (1958) as a tree-ring. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
