Marked as a rectangular embanked or moated enclosure (ext. dims. c. 55m NE-SW; c. 50m NW-SE) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6 inch map and situated in the shallow valley of a small NW-SE stream which is c. 130m to the SW. It is not visible at ground level in reclaimed pasture, but it may have been a moated site. (Barry 1977, 222, WX 77)
