Detached three-bay two-storey farmhouse, built 1875, on a T-shaped plan with single-bay full-height gabled projecting end bay; three-bay two-storey side (south) elevation. Occupied, 1901. Vacant, 1911. Pitched slate roof on a T-shaped plan with clay ridge tiles, rendered red brick Running bond chimney stacks having stepped capping supporting terracotta pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves retaining cast-iron downpipes. Rendered walls. Camber- or segmental-headed central door opening with two cut-granite steps, timber doorcase with panelled pilasters supporting stepped cornice on fluted consoles, and concealed dressings framing timber panelled door having sidelights on risers below overlight. Square-headed window openings with cut-granite sills, and concealed dressings framing two-over-two timber sash windows. Interior including (ground floor): central hall retaining carved timber surrounds to door openings framing timber panelled doors, staircase on a dog leg plan with turned timber balusters supporting carved timber banister terminating in turned timber newel, carved timber surround to window opening to half-landing, and carved timber surrounds to door openings to landing framing timber panelled doors; and carved timber surrounds to door openings to remainder framing timber panelled doors with carved timber surrounds to window openings. Set in landscaped grounds with rendered piers to perimeter having cut-granite shallow pyramidal capping supporting wrought iron-detailed flat iron double gates.

A farmhouse representing an integral component of the later nineteenth-century domestic built heritage of County Wexford with the architectural value of the composition suggested by such attributes as the compact plan form centred on a Classically-detailed doorcase demonstrating good quality workmanship; and the diminishing in scale of the openings on each floor producing a graduated visual impression. Having been well maintained, the elementary form and massing survive intact together with substantial quantities of the original fabric, both to the exterior and to the interior, thus upholding the character or integrity of the composition. Furthermore, adjacent outbuildings (----) continue to contribute positively to the group and setting values of a self-contained ensemble having historic connections with the Jones family including Frederick Jones Senior (d. 1888), 'Gentleman late of Cools [sic] County Wexford' (Calendars of Wills and Administrations 1888, 345); and Frederick Jones Junior (d. 1903), 'Gentleman Farmer late of Cools [sic] Castlebridge County Wexford' (Calendars of Wills and Administrations 1903, 222).
