Embanked enclosure

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 35m) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Situated in pasture on a plateau overlooking the sea c. 300m to the S. Remnants of a scarp (H 1.5m) at SE (C 15m) represent the only surviving element of an enclosure. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
