What is recorded here

Terraced two-bay two-storey rendered shop, built c.1880. Pitched slate roof, clay ridge tiles, unpainted smooth-rendered stepped and corbelled chimneystack shared with adjacent property, half-round cast-iron gutters (mainly missing) on timber fascia. Unpainted ruled-and-lined smooth-rendered walling, shop sign with moulded render frame and raised render lettering. Square-headed window openings, dressed limestone sill to upper window incorporated in top moulding to sign fascia, painted two-over-two timber sash window to first floor, coupled one-over-one to ground floor. Square-headed door opening, painted vertically-sheeted timber door. Street fronted, sandwiched (with adjoining property to west) between two taller two-storey buildings to east and west.
This little building is of a kind once typical in small towns in Ireland consisting of modest business premises combined with living accommodation over. The moulded render sign fascia adds some distinctiveness to the property.
