What is recorded here
Half a metre of grey stone stands upright in the north of Moybologue graveyard, wearing a single shallow cup on its south face. The hollow is wide enough to catch rain or hold a marble, yet small enough to suggest a child’s hand or a quick divine gesture. People may have moved it from the gate, set it beside a dead body, or simply left it somewhere visible because the cup demanded attention. Whatever the intention, the stone still points south, waiting for water, memory, or a finger to test its depth.
Set upright as a grave-marker in the N part of Moybologue graveyard (CV034-046007-) is a stone (dims 0.3m x 0.17m; H 0.5m) with a single hollow (diam. 0.15m; D 0.05m) on a S-facing broad side. This could be the small bullaun stone that was reported as being at the gate of the graveyard (Davies 1948, 114).
