In a hedgerow on the N side of a by-road. This small limestone cross (H 0.9m) has upwardly splayed arms on which the figure of Christ, wearing a loin cloth, is carved in high relief. The cross is set on a drystone leacht-like structure. According to local information, mass was celebrated here during penal times and it was known locally as a 'mass-rock' (O'Connell and Korff 1987). A small limestone high cross, dating to the early medieval period (probably 9th–11th century), built by an unknown Christian community; it features a high-relief carving of Christ and is significant as a rare example of early Christian art in a rural setting.
