Cross in Moat (fore By.)

Located against the E wall of the graveyard attached to St Bridgid's Roman Catholic church at Ballinacree is a limestone cross (H 1.08m; span 0.62m) with a disc-head which is almost square in shape (diam. 0.41m). It has a chamfer on every edge, and a rectangular stem (dims 0.3m x 0.18m at base) that narrows as it rises (dims 0.24m x 0.16m at top) towards the head. The arms and top of the shaft are smaller (dims 0.16m x 0.15m) and quite short (L 0.1m). There is no inscription, but it is probably 17th century in date.
