Marked 'Clogh Patrick' on the 1835 and the 1938-9 ed. of the 'OS 6-inch' maps. A large boulder with natural grooves in it (SMR file, 1967).

Linked to St. Patrick, the holy well or site is traditionally associated with the saint's legendary travels and miracles in Ireland. The grooved boulder may represent an early Christian or prehistoric ritual feature, possibly connected to water worship or saintly pilgrimage practices.
