Modern churchyard enclosing RC church at Kilcormac on the site of a Carmelite friary founded by Odo, son of Nellan O' Molloy who died in 1454 (Flanagan 1927, 42-3). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). The churchyard in Frankford encloses a Roman Catholic church at Kilcormac, built on the site of a 15th-century Carmelite friary founded by Odo, son of Nellan O'Molloy, who died in 1454. The site reflects the historical presence of the Carmelite order in the region and its later adaptation for use by the local Catholic community.
