Situated on a shoulder of the NE-facing slope of the Comeragh Mountains, and within a cairnfield (WA006-014001-). Heather-covered ring of cairn material (ext. diam. 12.5-14.3m; int. diam. 9.3-10m) open at SSW (Wth 1.1m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). A Neolithic ring-cairn, dating to the 4th to 3rd millennia BCE, associated with early ceremonial or funerary practices in the Comeragh Mountains region. Its location within a cairnfield suggests it is part of a broader prehistoric landscape of ritual and burial activity.
