New site identified by John Cronin & Associates (JCA) under Licence No. 16E0127 prior to wind farm development in Grousemount, Kilgarvan, Co. Kerry by ESB Wind Development Ltd. Located on a moderate downward slope to the north a possible bedrock mortar or cup marked stone was observed on small rock measuring 0.83m east-west by 0.50m north-south at ITM grid co-ordinate 509348, 569645. The hollow is oval in shape measuring 0.20m east-west by 0.16m north-south and is c.60mm in depth. A survey of the immediate surrounding area revealed no further potential archaeological features or sites (Cronin et. al. 2018, 47, 50). See attached photograph courtesy John Cronin.
