Single-arched stone road-over-rail bridge, built c. 1880. Rock-faced squared-and-snecked limestone walling, tooled limestone string course surmounted by intersecting cast-iron railings to parapet flanked by rock-faced limestone piers; squared-and-snecked limestone walling to east and west approach surmounted by tooled limestone coping. Rock-faced voussoirs to arch, prominent keystone. Bitmac surface to road.

This fine stone bridge is a good example of late-nineteenth-century engineering, spanning the former Great Northern Railway track, now the main Dublin-Belfast line. The varied materials used, in the construction of the bridge, are worthy of note for the contrast between stone and cast-iron is very apparent, the differing treatments applied to the stone is also important.
