Double-span humpback road bridge, built c.1860, spanning Shournagh River. Dressed limestone walls, segmental-headed arches with margined rock-faced voussoirs. V-cutwaters to upstream (east) elevation. Concrete capping to parapet.

The simple and elegant form of this road bridge is much enhanced by the contrast between random rubble stone walls and finely executed cut limestone voussoirs which add textural interest. This bridge is a reminder of the pride and craftsmanship employed in such endeavours in the nineteenth century and reflects the expansion in road building brought about by an increase in trade and exports.
