Single-arch ashlar limestone bridge carrying the railway over the road, built c.1850, with rock-faced voussoirs and piers. Replacement plinth railings.
Clearly the work of skilled masons, this bridge is executed with high quality masonry. The form of the bridge is articulated with rock-faced voussoirs and piers and with string courses. This bridge and the adjacent canal bridge create a surprising and dramatic group in the landscape.
