Single-arch aqueduct over road, built c.1795, with string courses, rock-faced voussoirs and pilasters. Scars of plaques, now removed, are apparent on both elevations. Stone lock gates to canal.

This aqueduct forms an interesting group of related structure with the canal workers' house, lock and nearby Boyne Aqueduct. Clearly the work of skilled masons, this aqueduct is executed with high quality masonry. The form of the aqueduct is articulated with channelled ashlar to the arches and piers and with string courses. This aqueduct and the adjacent railway bridge create a surprising and dramatic group in the landscape.
