Single-arch limestone humpback railway bridge, built c. 1849, having coursed rusticated walls with dressed stringcourses and copings. Rusticated voussoirs to segmental-headed arches.

This Great Southern and Western Railway Company operated the Dublin Heuston to Cork Kent railway line. The Fantstown crossing, which was on this line, was opened in 1849. The bridge is simply proportioned and retains the original profile of its arches. High quality craftsmanship is apparent in the detailing of the rusticated voussoirs, dressed stringcourses and rock-faced walls.
